Set your rivals, then let the world be shaped.
A condensed guide to the rules.
The map is made of hexagonal fields divided among the rivals. Two or more same-colour fields that border each other form a land, ruled from a village. Unite your lands, break up your enemies’.
A land starts with 8 + 1 gold per field not covered by trees, and earns 1 gold per such field at the start of every one of your turns. Recruits, towers and other buildings are paid from the treasury of the selected land. A village can be upgraded to a city, then to a capital, each tier adding another gold per field — when two lands merge, the higher-tier settlement survives.
| Level | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Upkeep / turn | 2 | 6 | 18 | 54 |
Recruiting costs 10 gold per level (click Recruit again to raise the level before placing it). Stack two soldiers on one field to merge their strength, up to level 4. Unpaid soldiers become tombstones.
A soldier defends its own field and its six neighbours — but only those that belong to the same land. A field is only vulnerable if no defender there is strong enough. Attacks may only cross from a field that already borders yours, and never in the first round. Villages need an attacking soldier of level 2 or higher; toppling one loots the land’s treasury.
In the new game screen, give two or more players the same team number to make them allies. Allies cannot attack or march into each other’s territory. If every remaining rival belongs to a single team, that team wins together.
A tower defends like a level-2 soldier, costs 20 gold, needs no upkeep, and cannot move once built. Trees spread across neglected land and yield no income — march a soldier onto one to clear it (this ends that soldier’s turn) and collect {gold} gold for the treasury.
A farm adds gold every turn but defends like open ground — any level-1 soldier can seize it unless a nearby unit guards it. A blacksmith cuts recruiting costs for that whole land. Both are razed if captured. Gold deposits can be scattered across the map at game start (toggle it in the new game screen) — march a soldier onto one to mine it, just like clearing a tree.
The lands are united.
